Easy to learn R

I got the Data Scientist with R track. It was pretty chill, the videos and exercises flowed nicely. Felt like I was actually getting the hang of R without too much stress. The platform was easy to navigate, which is a plus. Overall good vibe.

Reliable for data skills

This wasn't my first time using DataCamp; I've done a few tracks before. This time I went for the Data Visualization with Seaborn. Like my previous experiences, it was consistent. The platform is always stable, no tech glitches to deal with. The quality of instruction remains high, and I appreciate the interactive format. It's why I keep coming back for new skills. It just works, you know?

Decent SQL, minor issue

I took the Intermediate SQL course. Content was solid and practical for work. I liked the interactive exercises; they helped a lot with retention. The website sometimes lagged a bit when switching lessons, which was a minor annoyance. Delivery of the course material itself was fine, though. Good value for what I paid.

Helpful AI learning experience

I purchased the AI Fundamentals course. The ordering process was straightforward on their website. I got instant access after payment, which was great. The video lessons were well-explained, and the coding challenges really reinforced the concepts. I had a question about one of the practice problems and used their support chat; they responded within a few hours with a clear explanation. It took about two weeks for me to complete the whole thing, working part-time. The material was up-to-date, covering current AI topics. I feel much more confident in AI concepts now.

What's the deal with the discounts? Always see them advertising 50-75% off. Is it just a marketing thing or do they really have those sales often?

R Raj Osei 1 month ago
They really do! Black Friday, Cyber Monday, New Year's. I got my annual plan for like 70% off around January.

Yep, just wait for a holiday or one of their 'data science week' type promos. They come around pretty regularly.

P Paula H. 2 months ago
Nah, you'll be fine. I started with zero experience, and their intro stuff is super clear. They break things down really well.

Yeah, they really focus on getting you up to speed. Just stick with it, the interactive coding helps a ton.

Thinking about getting the annual plan but what if I hate it? Can I cancel and get my money back?

A Andre Whitfield 1 month ago
You can cancel anytime, but refunds are usually only for specific situations. Best to check their policy before buying.

Yeah, I think refunds are mostly if you signed up by accident or within a very short window. Don't count on it if you just change your mind a few months in.

Is DataCamp better than Codecademy for Python? Heard good things about both, can't decide.

J James 1 month ago
I've used both. DataCamp felt more structured for data science specifically, especially with the interactive coding challenges being right there. Codecademy is good too but maybe a bit broader.

Anyone know if the certs you get from DataCamp are actually recognized? Like, will employers care?

M Mark Foster 1 month ago
I think it depends on the employer. Some definitely do, especially for entry-level roles. It shows you're serious.

It's not like a university degree, but it's a good resume booster. Shows practical skills more than just theory afaik.
